Shadow Banking

The G20 instructed the Financial Stability Board (FSB) to develop recommendations to strengthen the oversight and regulation of the shadow banking system.   The initial shadow banking definition proposed by the FSB was so broad as to include large portions of the asset management sector, including hedge funds.
